Brow Tattoo Precare
To ensure the best results and smooth healing, please follow these steps before your brow tattoo appointment:
-
Avoid alcohol, caffeine & blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for 24–48 hours before your appointment — they increase bleeding and sensitivity.
-
No Botox or fillers around the brow area for at least 2 weeks before your appointment.
-
Avoid sunburns or excessive sun exposure for at least 1 week pre-treatment. Skin must not be compromised.
-
No retinol, AHA/BHA acids, or active skincare on or near the brow area for at least 5–7 days prior (they thin the skin).
-
No waxing, tinting, or plucking the brow area for at least 3–5 days prior — let us shape them at your appointment.
-
Come with clean, makeup-free skin — especially on the brow area.
-
Stay hydrated and get a good night’s sleep — calm, well-rested skin = better results.
-
No intense exercise 24 hours before your appointment (it increases blood flow to the face).
⚠️ If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or on certain medications (like Accutane), please check with us before booking.
Brow Tattoo Aftercare
Clients will develop patchy areas or the appearance of fading during the healing process. This is normal. The true colour of your brows will not come through until 4 weeks. A touch up will be required 6-8 weeks post treatment.
For the first 7 days, it is important that you:
-
Avoid sweating. Do not perform any duties that cause you to sweat.
-
Avoid make up on/around the brow area
-
Avoid face cleansers/ scrubs around the brow area
-
Avoid water, this includes during your shower.
-
Do not touch the area, this will risk infections.
-
Use fresh bedding/a pillow case to avoid infection.
For the next 2 weeks please AVOID:
-
Sunbathing/ Excessive sun exposure
-
Light therapies
-
Facials of any kind.
-
Creams that contain regeneration factors
-
Laser treatment over the treated area (i.e. Fraxel Laser, IPL) because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns

Picking brow scabs
